Coil Ceramic Studio was founded by Dorina Fountoulaki and Giorgos Daris in February 2023. Located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood of Ano Kypseli, Coil serves as both their personal workspace and a welcoming, tranquil environment for creativity and skill development in the art of ceramics.
Dorina and Giorgos are artists and ceramists who both studied Fine Arts at the University of Ioannina, majoring in sculpture. They have been working with clay since 2018, creating objects using traditional hand-building techniques as well as wheel-throwing.
Ranging from sculptural forms to functional pieces, they create small batches of domestic ware in both earthenware and stoneware, each finished with their own distinctive, handmade glazes.
